I recall that word being in the Readers Digest feature "It Pays To Increase Your Word Power." That was a useful series. I remember learning thrasonical, uxorious, asymptotic and many other words from that. |

Lots of pitchers showing up saying they threw that 30 or 40 years ago. I think it's been going on for well over a century since Christy Mathewson's fadeaway was reborn as the screwball. |
