Found it!  Yep. They were named Minnie and Paul, shaking hands over the Mississippi River. Since Sarah was born in Minnesota, her Uncle Rick took me to Lake Itasca to see where the Mississippi River begins, since I already had seen where it ends. Not surprisingly, the river is much cleaner up there than after the long trek to the Gulf of Mexico! |

I remember them. Very comedic with big square heads. It reminded me of the cheeseheads that bought one of the greenhouses I worked in. There were three guys in charge, big square heads. Very serious dispositions and murderous souls… Germans? Did they goose walk? Pretty much… a-holes of the highest degree. Jackboots, too… But I should thank them. It lead me to my first foray into Colorado life. Even though I had to leave here without that experience I may not have come here the second time. I do love it here… |
