Great sense of timing for Rizzo on his day! Where's Russ at? He's a Star Wars fanatic. He's rarely been around since last season. He dropped in briefly a few weeks ago.

Maybe they should have an Aaron Hicks bobblehead day to get him going. Although I hate to think what the fans might do with those. Hand out rolls of Aaron Hicks toilet paper 🧻…

They made an Aaron Hicks bobblehead, but the head would get stuck and there was always something wrong with it. A bobblehead that doesn't bobble. Sounds like he's from the Island of Misfit Toys.

Jeter's numbers the second half of 1996: .350/.386/.482/.868 Jeter's numbers against lefties in 1996: .340/.409/.420/.829 Jeter's games batting #1 in 1996: 40 Jeter's games batting #2 in 1996: 10 Jeter's games batting #6 in 1996: 1 Jeter's games batting #7 in 1996: 11 Jeter's games batting #8 in 1996: 18 Jeter's games batting #9 in 1996: 77 I remember when that team faced right handed pitching, they had the veteran on base machines Boggs and Raines that even at their advanced age could still get on base. Plus O'Neill with a .411 OBP, Bernie at .391, Tino at .364 and Strawberry at .354. Just murder on righties. Them was the days.

There was a collective philosophy regarding hitting and approach for that team. Still, the future Hall of Famer was batting seventh, eighth, and ninth for 105 games. Stacked is a word that comes to mind.

Happy Birthday Yogi! Probably making someone laugh up in Baseball Heaven. Has anyone ever heard a bad word about Yogi Berra? What a wonderful man. Not one. He was universally loved. Even George Steinbrenner apologized to him, eventually.

Art Fleming warming up. We may be in jeopardy. Nice pre-Trebek reference! During part of his run hosting "Jeopardy" in the 1970s, Art Fleming lived in an old farmhouse in southeast PA and would commute to LA every few weeks to do a couple of weeks worth of shows.
