The Canadian feigned listening but his eyes were on the sombrero. "And, I make a mean spaghetti, too," as the man with sombrero cleaned his eye glasses on his tee shirt with "Condiments" written inside a circle with a horizontal line through it. "From scratch?" asked the Canadian. "Heck, no. It's all cans, all the way down for me. You could call me the Chef of Infinite Regress!" ejaculated the bespectacled man in the sombrero.  |

Anyone? Used as a question. Where did you learn French? How many languages do you know? I had four years in high school and three in college, plus I've spent a fair amount of time in French-speaking countries. All of which boils down to when the pressure is on I can speak it at the level of a dim-witted eight-year-old. If I'm in a French-speaking area for more than a few days it starts coming back, but it quickly disappears when I don't use it. I don't really speak any other languages to any intelligible degree. |
