Greg Allen over Hicks. Marginal upgrade at best. Still, glad to see this move. Have never understood the infatuation with Hicks.

I'm glad the Yankees finally cut bait with Hicks. Unexpected but long overdue.
Having said that, I wish him well going forward. He seems like a decent enough guy and my desire to see him gone is tactical, not personal. At first glance Allen doesn't seem like much of an upgrade, but it's nearly impossible that he could be a downgrade.
