Well, I do know that among Anthony's fellow Greenwichers are Aaron Boone, Gerrit Cole and David Cone. Not to mention Steve Cohen and a bunch of other household names. Anthony, you must have some stories -- it's a long off-season, we're ready for them. Rizz, our niece used to live in Westport -- another beautiful town -- and we would often pass through Greenwich along the way to visit her. Stopped in at Tod's Point once or twice to rub elbows with the better sort. On the other end of the economic scale, I wonder if Anthony remembers Swanky Franks in Norwalk? In another life I used to have business in Wilton and I would drop into SF for their spicy red hots. That place was there for about 70 years before closing a few years ago. I was in there often enough that the Ruezella family who owned it gave me passes to the Jai Alai Fronton in Bridgeport. A couple of dogs at Franks and a quiet weekday afternoon of Jai Alai. Living large in the Nutmeg State. |
