The Kirby vacuum at our house. (the story of). When Ruthie and I first got together, she would complain that she wished she had her Kirby vacuum cleaner back. She had loaned it to her ne’er do well drug-addled brother 2 years prior and he disappeared. When we had a Kirby salesman come to our door, I figured this might be the right time to fix Ruthie up with a replacement. As we watched the demo, I asked her if she wanted it. She said simply “I’d like to have it”. So, I bought it. She refuses to use it because it’s “too heavy”. I asked her why she said she wanted it and she doesn’t recall saying she wanted it. I guess it’s my Kirby Vacuum, now… |

I know some have been disappointed in Anthony Volpe (certainly his strikeouts are a cause for concern - first on the Yankees with 65), but I don't think he's going anywhere any time soon. Some rankings for Volpe as a Yankee:
Runs: 23 (fourth, tied with DJLM)
Hits: 39 (fifth)
3B: 2 (first, tied hit Harrison Bader)
HR: 8 (fourth)
RBI: 24 (fourth)
SB: 13 (first)
BB: 21 (third)
TB: 72 (fifth)
Essentially, there are a lot of other underperforming and unavailable positions on this team. Another hot streak, and Volpe may even push his way higher into these categories.

Tim Kirkjian, on Baseball Tonight with Buster Olney, predicted that the three teams to make the playoffs from the AL East are the Rays, the Yankees, and then the Orioles. He's leaving off the Blue Jays, which he said is difficult to believe given their talent.
