German's fastball not what it usually is in velocity or movement or location. He's doing it with mirrors thus far. Look out middle innings. He gets props for effort. Just not always the right technique… |

You would never know that Whitlock and Houck had ERA's well over 5 watching them pitch against the Yankees.

Houck has been nails so far. That 3-2 slider is tantalizing, but it finishes off the plate. I was hoping that Volpe would have seen the strikeouts beforehand and take that last pitch. It has to look really good until the very last few feet. |
