What? I thought I described it to a “T”. I thought Rizz wax more described to an R. Maybe a J. But a “T”? Certainly not a capital t… or a capitol tee either… or Kapatil… or kapital…

Holmes and King were lights out tonight. Yankees def have a chance this year if the bullpen keeps this up.

"You've done it, Holmes!" ejaculated Watson! “No”, spat Holmes modestly. “Twas the King that settled the affair. Give him the ejaculate this once.” …

If they could get it down to match the team batting average we'd really have something!

If this is real then it's a bad look for the Yankee hitting coaches.

If this is real then it's a bad look for the Yankee hitting coaches. Unbelievable. Yankees have a real hands off approach apparently. Or, they’re too busy digesting statistics instead of actually watching swing mechanics.

Imagine going 38 years without winning the World Series. 39 and their pitching is still terrible Hicks' slash line with Baltimore is .364/.488/.667 good for an OPS+ of 220. Essentially Babe Ruth in his prime. Okay, only 41 PA and of course he won't come within a million miles of those numbers for the season. But had he stayed with the Yankees there is no way he even would have had a run like that. Impossible. So does this mean he's capable of playing well if he puts forward some effort? Was he really just sulking and going through the motions with the Yankees? I don't know the answer to that, but it’s pretty sad if that was the case.

I don't know the answer to that, but it’s pretty sad if that was the case. Cashman's Guy definitely needed a change of scenery, which had been falling down around him in the Bronx. Hicks seemed to vacillate between arrogance (posing and/or flexing for any hit) and despondency (giving up on plays while baserunners circled the diamond). His act was tiring and his game deteriorated from a plus defender with a rocket arm to looking like he was on skates and throwing to the wrong base. More or less, he was a rally killer at the plate the last three seasons. And, he never shook the "cannot stay healthy" tag, which sometimes was a benefit.
