Unless the Angels collapse this week, I don't think they're trading Ohtani. They've been player better baseball lately and they should get Trout back sometime in August. If Ohtani is a real Angel he whispers to the owner and they make an unannounced deal on his future contact. They trade him to beef up the team, he comes back next year the much-improved team has a 5 year window to win with Ohtani in place. It’s not ethical, but… nah. Won’t happen… The Angles just gave up for runs in the 9th to Detroit and are now in extra innings. Collapse or a lame attempt to get Ohtani more AB's? |

I know the Rays have had a ton of pitching injuries this year, but Lynn is having a terrible season -- 6.18 ERA after 20 starts. And it's not like he's been trending hot lately -- one quality start in his last five outings. Obviously they must think they can revive him. |

Please DO NOT trade Prospects for any 2-Month Rental = Beyond stupid. Yankee Owner should just admit the WS is not happening this year and do a REBOOT that is so badly needed and that has been for years. Instead trade--SELL:Bader (going to be FA) Torres (get something for him = Before he returns to Normal Torres) DJ Stanton (i think he is ready to waive no Trade Clause = Maybe back to Miami) Sev (Will be FA) Donaldson Bauers Cordero Calhoun Etc. Here is what the rest of the year ROSTER would look like (saves huge $$$in future--high energy and good attitude levels --willing to learn new skills--able to adapt to change, speed = give them ample playing time with proactive coaching these last two months plus winter baseball and 2024 spring training = Maybe BINGO???!!! Certainly better and more exciting than the Roster we have now. 1B Rizzo* 2B Volpe SS Peraza 3B IKF or Sweeney RF Judge and Allen CF LF to be a mix rotating of Pereira, Florial, Dominguez... C Higgy, the Rortvedt or Wells DH Stanton if not traded and rotated with Judge (for rest) and Dominguez, Waldo, etc. BENCH: Sweeny Waldo Florial or see above If I got a decent enough offer would also trade Rizzo = Got Waldo as b-u plus farm players like Elijah Dunham/Wells - Plus Judge should learn 1B to lengthen his career (less injuries... better for his legs toes, etc. ). Could also use Spencer at times for DH when Stanton is injured = likely to happen. Yes, a lot of Youth willing/ready to build a New Dynasty.
