I think I liked your six year plan better than this one. One problem with selling. When you trade scrap, you get scrap back… I don't think Judge is coming back if this is the plan lol How you doing Anthony = hoping all is well for you and your loved ones. First off Judge will come back if he truly wants to be a TRUE CAPITAIN = To Lead, Coach, Train, Motivate, Push your fellow young players, onto becoming a Stars & a Dynasty. Within 2-years they will be in the WS. I also think Judge is getting tired of the BS not going to the WS = He needs to take more of a Leadership Role... Mr. Inger you mostly are kind of correct with your scrape for scrape quote. However you must realize: My main goal is not to receive a Gemstone(s) but instead to unblock positions for our High Value Prospects a good opportunity to SHINE in the ML. Now mind I will get something decent for a package of Torres/Sev. I will also get something decent package for Bader/DJ. And who knows, maybe one of these prospects that I get in return might just be the next____________. Who knows??? The rest (including Stanton) will yes get me scrapes. But these trades/sells will open slots for our high value prospects to strut their stuff. It is impossible for any team to go to the WS every Year (we have proven that). So ( US, FANS, POSTERS, WRITERS, OWNER, GM, etc.) to GO ALL IN every year with Huge Contracts, Long Term Contracts, Aging Players, Rental Players, Trading away our high value prospects, etc. = Means we go ALL OUT (of the WS will be 14-years this year with NO WS) every year. We have to STOP this Crazy BS of being reactive and instead become proactive = like my six year plan and the moves I would make as I stated above. Plus I am not against signing FA's but NEED to be very selective and NEVER EVER sign Rental Players = Like giving $$$ and your future away.

Let me know what you guys think about this, been pondering it myself. Lately NY media/radio and some baseball fans been talking about cashman and 2016 team where he sold Chapman, Beltran, Miller, McCann etc. The thinking is well Cashman said that year “that team needed to declare itself and it didn’t so we decided to sell,” which was totally understandable and what many here believed, myself included. Man cant believe that was 7 years ago, time flies. Now ppl are saying the same about this year and citing what Cashman in 2016. Here is my issue with that....
It's totally different, for one thing you don’t have a chapman or miller to sell, who went to historically desperate teams in the Cubs and CLE and both made WS that year. This year, the guys you could sell are like German, Bader, Severino, maybe a middle reliever or two, thats not netting you much. anyway and teams are smarter than ever.
So here is my idea, how about go and kick-start this fucking team?? Go get a few bats, go get a BP arm. You’re not moving a ton off this roster, and you shouldn’t punt another year of Judge, Cole, Stanton, which is a critical part of this. Those dudes aren't getting any younger and their contracts are massive. Go give it a shot, go get Bellinger, go get a catcher as a backstop if available, maybe a Candelario for 3B, show the roster you’re in it, they haven't done the job but you're gonna get new blood who will and kick-start them while Judge returns this weekend. Idk, I think I am a rational fan, along with many of you here, with the new wild card, you've got to be really down to have a full-on sale nowadays. Now that doesn't mean you can't sell a few pieces, I'd definitely move a few guys to bring in new blood. THe days of buy or sell teams are over. You can do both. Thoughts?

Sounds great in theory, but we're hearing more and more about Hal not wanting to go over the next salary threshold that kicks in new penalties. The problem is they are already above the threshold so how are they going to go under it unless the dump payroll? I have feeling the Yankees will settle for a middle reliever and a cheap OF. How exciting!

I dunno why so many fans are so down on the 3rd wildcard. The division is a real long shot right now with no H2H left with Baltimore after this weekend and I don't think I would want the Yankees in the second WC, because that likely means heading to Texas or Houston or Tampa for 3 games. So really best spot for them is either first WC and host a game or 3rd and play the Twins or Guardians. Chi is correct with the tax thing I just dunno how serious Hal will be with that, but I do think Bellinger could help a lot. Grichuck is ok if it's him and someone else, but him alone being the move probably isn't enough.

I don’t think you’re going to get much by selling this year. Might as well go for it and pickup some additional pieces. There is no real AL front runner anyway. The league is wide open. Why waste another year of judge, Stanton, and cole? Make a run! Stranger things have happened.

What kind of package will it take to get Bellinger? With so many buyers, probably more than we can stomach. Could have just signed him over the offseason.
I swear if we get Grichuk and call it a day...

I swear if we get Grichuk and call it a day... I’m still thinking Cash will go after Profar. That’s just as bad as Grichuk… maybe worse…

Profar is a downgrade from McKinney and only a modest upgrade from Bauers. While Grichuk would be an improvement over what we have now and he's having a good year, he's still hitting 55 points higher at Coors than on the road, and his OBP is 58 points higher. His career OBP is only .298 and his OPS+ is 102. I can't see where he moves the needle much with those numbers. Only worth it if we give up scraps.
