A few things surprised me so far. Seattle, which has the same record as the Yanks, ditched their closer Paul Sewald plus AJ Pollock. It helps the Yankees obviously if they're cashing out.
More surprising is Cleveland, only one game behind the Twins for first, trading Aaron Civale while two of their other principle starters, Bieber and Quantrill, are on the IL.

Cashman has long had a man crush on Kyle Schwarber. Schwarber has hit 27 home runs but is hitting .182 and makes Stanton look like a jackrabbit. I wonder if he's the target. Brendan Marsh has had an excellent season playing CF for them, and Castellanos has been solid in RF. Can't guess who the Yankees are looking for in return unless it's Schwarber. |

Curry said no to Teoscar/Pham, Carlson prospect cost is high and he thinks they don't want to do that, Bellinger/Grichuk he heard they were in on, but obv both are off market.
