I think us not making the play offs would actually be useful. It might cause changes in the decision process. Making the play offs with a team that is going nowhere just delays needed change.

I noticed there's been quite a few dfas since the trade deadline so I wonder if Cashman will try picking up someone else off the scrap heap.

I don’t disagree with your premise dome but who are these high value prospects of which you speak? Anyone with a pulse is assumed to be a .280/25/80 hitter in MLB until they fall flat in their face. Hence the difficulty of his 6-year plan in which we form a box 📦 and hold, hold, hold to build out future. They are also supposedly able to jump from Rookie ball to MLB and succeed at the same rate… |
