I don’t disagree with your premise dome but who are these high value prospects of which you speak? To name just a FEW = Dominguez, The Fox, Peraza, Waldo, Spencer, Wells and more.., (I would also include IKF even though no longer a Prospect). I hope you are right about these prospects dome but they better be ready soon. The "use by" dates on guys like DJLM and Rizzo are fast approaching and to continue to count on them would seem to portend a repeat of this year(I understand about Rizzo's concussion). I like Waldo but he has had 80 games and 195 at bat's this year and is still barely above the Mendoza line. Bauer's and Mckinney have given us about what I expected but in my unlearned opinion I would hate to count on them next year as major contributors. Hope springs eternal. |

If that is true -- a big if, but I'm guessing it's plausible -- then we are in worse trouble than I imagined. Somebody needs to ask Hal directly -- why stop trades of guys like Sevy and Bader and Wandy who are going to be able to walk in two months? Maybe the fans should replace or at least supplement those "Fire Cashman" signs with "Sell The Team Hal" signs. |

Everyone think's its Cashman fault, it's both, but I think Cash tries to fixed things but Hal isn't buying it. |

hal spent a lot of money so I am not sure what he would have to do. The fact that we spent the money poorly is on Cashman unless we want hal to be GS again.

I agree, getting to the point that we would even have to sell, despite out spending everyone in the AL, is on Cashman. My guess on why Hal vetoed Cashman selling off players is that he still wants to make the playoffs, they are only 2.5 game back. |

Honestly, I think we were just as well off standing pat instead of adding g the mostly expensive junk that was available. Better to trade in the off season when there’s more time and the future can be taken more into consideration… |

Legit prospects? I agree. But the leap from that point to successful MLB starting pitcher is a huge one. I think Zthorpe may be the best of the lot… |
