Today is an off day for the Yankees. Will their off day be a trade day for a Closer, etc.? Update: It was for the Yankees but it was for the Marlins, Mariners, Arizona, Rays.
A.J. Puk was one of the pitchers I would have liked the Yankees to trade for. But, judging by what players Arizona traded, it looks like it would have cost the Yankees at least Neely and Mayea.

Not sure why the Yankees don't promote Neely just to see if they can fix some of their Bullpen flaws in house.

Not that he couldn't help the Yanks, but Puk is inferior to Holmes and really isn't even a closer.

I could be wrong but after his recent comments my guess is that Crochet's trade value has dropped.

Not sure why the Yankees don't promote Neely just to see if they can fix some of their Bullpen flaws in house. Max, I posted an article in the minor league thread. The writer answering questions commented the Yanks really like Neely and he thinks he may be called up. I know he isn't on the 40 man yet so perhaps they are waiting to see how mahy empty chairs they have after the TDL?

At least they got the headline right this time.

Seriously, the Yankees would want to add Crochet to go with Gill and Cole in the rotation. I'd would send them a package centered on Jones and Warren.

It is silly trade proposal season, and this is one. After what the Yanks have seen from Gil this season, I doubt they will trade him. If fact, I wonder if they will make any big trades.

They Orioles just made a puzzling trade. Austin Hays to the Phil’s for a middling reliever and another guy with a .202 BA. Hays is very good defensively and mashed RHP. It seems odd to me…
