The thing about baseball is that you never know when history will be made, nor who will make it. It might be a guy that’s easy to root for, or maybe a guy that’s made some mistakes and isn’t terribly likable. Maybe get be a guy that’s been running hot lately, maybe a guy that’s been cold. I might be on a chilly night in Oakland, or a hot day in Texas. It might be a bright spot in a poor season, or it might turn a season around.That’s what keeps bringing us back for more…

Hard to root for German, but hopefully this wakes the club up - both the offensive display and a perfect-o. There was that great line by NY Daily News sportswriter Joe Trimble reporting on Don Larsen's effort -- "The imperfect man pitched a perfect game." |
