🔑 🔑 to the series. These Cardinals are an odd team that out hits the Yankees in every category (even when we have Judge), but somehow they’ve only crossed the plate 4 more times than the Yankees.
When it comes to pitching, the Cards are no match for the Yanks, as we stand third in MLB, only trailing the leader Tampa Bay 0.04 in ERA. The Cardinals have allowed almost a run per game more than the Yankees and are 25th in ERA, and a dreadful 28th in WHIP.
The Cardinal bullpen has no standout performers.
It would appear the Yankees should get a lot of baserunners, so cashing in on them and getting to the point where it’s a battle of the bullpens should bode well, but only if we get those key hits…

The rain should be stopping by around 6:30 MST, so maybe a 7: MST start.
I wonder if Arenado will be playing? He was supposed to have a tracked back or something a day of two ago. If he’s out the only other guy that normally hits anyone in Goldschmidt.
Looking at the Cards high WHIP, they don’t walk a whole bunch of hitters, big almost everybody on the team allows more hits than innings pitched including tonight’s starter, Libertore-Achi…
