Anthony, you have definitely been the voice of reason to us this season. It's been frustrating since 2009. I'm just saying some years you look at it and say there's probably less of a 5% chance of beating "whatever" team in 18 it was the Red Sox. 19 it was the Astros. 20 I guess it could have went either way. 21 it was the Astros again. 22 Astros. I think this is the first time in about 5 years there isn't a team that looks head and shoulders above all other AL teams. The fact the second seed team and the third wildcard are only 4 games apart. The Yankees record against all these top teams so far is about even. I'm not seeing any of these teams just looking miles better than the Yankees right now and a lot of them have some kind of pitching issue I just hope at the deadline the Yankees can make some proper moves and not just let the rays or orioles or someone else steal some great player and many rely on judge coming back as the savior. They need a real left fielder. I think I would keep McKinney around as a bench piece. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk You make perfect sense in your evaluation, my friend. Unfortunately, I have a feeling Cashman will take the view that Judge, Rodon, etc. coming off the IL will be the Yankees' moves at the deadline.

Are there peanuts or almonds in a Nootbaar? Asking for a friend. I'm envisioning something along the lines of an Oh Henry.

Anthony is always the voice of reason. Good man. Anthony is definitely our "steady as she goes" guy. I wish I could be that reasonable, but it’s against my nature. Isn't that why there are libations and spirits?

Volpe should have scored twice in this inning but he's still standing a third.

This is my concern too can def see Baltimore or Tampa getting some big player and it helping them. Not sure if Baltimore has the rotation but if Tampa gets some bullpen help let's say Hader? That really could make them a lot better. I think with Judge back the Yankees do have a good amount of pitching to win but need a real left fielder and not this carousel. Like I said I'm fine with Mickenney as a bench piece but Calhoun etc these guys can't be on the playoff roster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And, the tarp goes on the field. Ominous clouds in blue and black, which reminds me a Jackson Browne song:

I think the other thing is we don't really know with 3 wildcards who will sell off? Obviously KC and Oakland are out of it but in both leagues every single is 14 or less games behind a playoff spot except KC and Oakland.
So honestly at this point other than those 2 teams you have over 20 teams in the league in competition for a wild card spot.
If I'm the Yankees I really should be called kc and Oakland early and see what they have first because these other teams might be close enough to believe they then can go on a run.
