This game was won if Boone lets German pitch through the seventh. He could have probably just left German complete the game. What’s the use of having a thrifty pitch count if the manager is going to pull you in the seventh inning anyway?… If I were a starter in that situation, I would not give up the ball to Boone so easily. He would have to argue with me for a while before I left the mound. I'd make him think about removing me an uncomfortable feeling every time. |

Gleyber's error was terrible but I can't get over Boone pulling German at 74 pitches and allowing one hit all game.
