Think about how fortunate most managers would have felt to be in Boone’s situation today. Starting pitcher with a perfect game on his recent resume is throwing a one hitter in the seventh. He only has 74 pitches thrown, there’s a man on first and you have a three run lead. This guy hasn’t allowed any other hard hit balls with the exception of a wall-scraping homer.
The outlook is that you might get a complete game out of your pitcher and all your bullpen guys get a short holiday during the all star break. Instead of living with that circumstance, this idiot decides to make German “feel good”. In the process German winds up feeling miserable as his less disappears, and the relievers that gave up the runs feel even worse, as does the entire team.
WWGD? Can you imagine how many heads would roll I’d the old man was still here?…

So he didn't want German to get his fe fe's hurt. Problem with using 5 or 6 pitchers every game is you increase the likelihood 1 or 2 are going to have an off day. And with our offense, the pitching has to be near perfect. I feel that way every time a bunch of different relievers are used, that you're going to dial the wrong number with at least one of them on any given game Yea there's no reason to be using that many relievers in a game like today what's even crazier is there's a 3 batter rule and he still used that many Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Boone proves once again he's a terrible manager. Firing Lawson seems like an appeasement for the fans, but the real problems are with Cashman and Boone.
