Bottom six places in the line-up were 2-22. Both of those from DJ. Even if we have some guys getting hits, every night seems like there are large gaps of the line-up going 0-fer. Makes it hard to consistently put up runs. You're right, they never have rallies so starting pitchers just breeze into the 7th inning on low pitch counts. |

We all love Judge and wanted him resigned and named Captain but he has missed time every season except during his historic walk year. He had 2 freak injuries and we don't even know if he will be back this season and surgery during or after is going to happen. The next 8 years could be tremendous or an epic fail.

Judge played 157 games last year and 148 the year before with most of his games missed that year being for COVID. He played 155 game in 2017. I remember him missing games one year with a broken wrist because some scrub pitcher hit him and this year he broke his toes going all out to help the Yanks win a game, neither of these are due to being injury prone. |

I got my #99 Jersey and fully supported bring him back and naming him Captain. The Yankees got railroaded with Stanton. We traded for the 2017 NL MVP and got an injury prone DH who sometimes looks lost at the plate. Seeing Judge leaning on the dugout fence every game with no timetable to return has got to be a concern for the next 8 years.
This team is in such a bad place right now.

I knew the second after I typed that inger would make that joke! 😂 I tell Ruthie I’d like to go to Lebanon once so I can see the homeland of the lesbians… 😂 I actually have been to Lebanon, PA, more than once. Reminds me of one day working at the PA propane office. We were just far enough out of Bird-In Hand, PA that people would be lost and would stop in to ask for directions. Had a guy from New York once that stopped and asked where “Amish Country” was. I told him he was in Amish country. “No,” he said. I want to see their little village and their little work shops where they make things. I’m thinking, first you pass the hollow tree where the Keeblers elves are making cookies, then you pass Santa’s Workshop. But I sent him to Bird-In-Hand and Paradise, just a little further west. Bringing in donaldson for all that money was a disaster everyone could see but him. Signing DJ was a more popular idea but looks like a mistake so far. We do have some pieces that I like such as Judge, Volpe, Bader, Cole, Rizzo. I don’t think we need a major rebuild to be a contender. But we could definitely use some more offensive firepower. |
