And as it turns out, JWild somewhat like him in seeing this forum as too “low brow’ for him… to each his own…for me, the lower the brow, the better… 🤓 I don't believe he ever said that inger. I know you don’t. He said as much to me on a PM. I was quite disappointed. When I told him who was participating his words were… “Exactly the kind of forum I would not want to be a part of.” That sounds like he felt he was too good for us to me… |

Figures. JW is too good to banter with us now, irritated by our jocularity, lack of baseball seriousness, and Inger's regular brushes with the Horny Police. I know I'm in the minority here, but I never had any issues with JWild. To each his own. Jwild is forever cool with me. He never said the board was too low brow for him. I don't know where inger got that from. We exchanged emails for a while after the old board closed down and he always spoke highly of everyone and said he just got too busy with his grandkids to continue his long prose on the boards. |

I didn't either (except for a disagreement over Nolan Ryan, but that was just an exercise in stats) but I do recall his being peeved by what is normally seen here as good natured ribbing and silly humor. JW and I had planned to go to a Yankees-Oakland game together, but I had to bow out at the last minute. |

That was your 2023 Yankees. Pitiful all game. Shows a small glimpse of life only to fall short by an overpaid BUM. Don't hold back JEG. BTW,I had asked you the other day what boardwalk you were visiting. I actually care about other people's travels. |

Oh, he sent me a couple of s itching PMs when I joked about a couple things, telling me I wasn’t taking my “responsibilities as a poster” seriously. But he was right. I’m a bit of a clown. For someone with a touch of OCD I can be a bit much, I’m just about as opposite of OCD as a human being can be. But overall he was quite accepting of me… |

I suppose he had that side to him, but on the board he often got involved in discussions about our mutual love of Soupy Sales and Mad Magazine and Bullwinkle. So he could definitely laugh at low humor like most of us. |

I think the death knell was that I said that Sierchio was a moderator, which he was (I suppose in an honorary way)… Perhaps I shared too much… 😂 Anyway, Mussina: a bit odd, but that’s okay JWild: A bit odd, but that’s okay Me: Very odd, and I really don’t care.
