Can't blame Diaz for being angry. This ump has certainly been in his own little world tonight… What is the name of that umpire that leads the league in efficiency and percentage of accurate calls? Black guy, good shape, youngish. |

Hopefully someday Pinto and Ford will be teammates. An explosive duo. My old boss told me that he witnessed a Ford Pinto hit a chicken in the road, which disabled the vehicle after the beak pierced the radiator. Pinto's were the butt of many late night monologue jokes. Supposedly, the only Pintos that did not catch fire or explode from a rear impact were altered in some way. So many bad 70s cars, but Pintos stood out. The Chevy Vega was a clunker. The AMC Gremlin had issues. |

Twentieth steal for Volpe! Really thought he'd have about 40 by now. Lack of OBP and also a bit of the Yankees' hitters not knowing how to handle the bat and give the runner a chance to get to second base.
