Boone has a quick trigger on starters and a late trigger on relievers, all the while trying to never pitch them two days in a row. How easy was it to tell if Aroldis Chapman didn't have it? Yet, Boone would wait until he walked the house, then gave up a big hit to take him out. Longing for Stump Merrill.

So, I am blacked out again from watching the Astros AT the Yankees via my MLB.TV subscription for which I paid good money. The kicker is that I am also blacked out on Amazon Prime, even though I am an Amazon Prime member and have been for nearly twenty years. I am also subscribed to Apple.TV and was unable to watch there yesterday as well. All because I live in the state of Texas, which is so large it is approximately 900 miles from the east Texas border with Louisiana to El Paso. In other words, I could drive all day long and still be in Texas. Or, I suppose I could buy a ticket and drive 1584 miles from my apartment to Yankee Stadium. Of course I would have needed to leave yesterday morning.  For what, so that I can watch a Gotta Go to Mo's advert rather than Sports Academy? And oddly, I get the Amazon games through my MLB.com subscription without being an Amazon member. Bizarre… |
