I was thinking, when was the last time the Detroit Lions played in a prime time game? Not only didn't they look at of place, they went into KC and beat the defending champs, this is not the Lions we're used to seeing. Kadarius Toney. Best player for the Lions.

He was so good at Florida. What happened? I don't know but I'm glad he's not on the Giants anymore.

That was one of the worst games I've ever seen a WR have.

That was one of the worst games I've ever seen a WR have. Cost them the game twice. Once on the tip on the pick six, second time on the drop that would have put them in range for winning FG.

Ha ha, that's the only time America ever saw them. I think that the Lions were in the 1957 NFL championship game, but it may not have been televised. Very impressive that you know this, Noetsi. It was indeed the last time the Lions were in a championship game. But I can assure you it was televised, because it is the first NFL championship I can remember watching. My team, the Cleveland Browns, whose history at least over the last 60 years is almost as dismal as the Lions, got obliterated 59-14. Jim Brown was a rookie sensation who got off one good run in that game, a 29-yard TD gallop, but otherwise was held in check. The Browns had been a very successful team for the previous decade and were heavy favorites, especially with the Lions HOF QB Bobby Layne out with an injury. It was a tough afternoon for me and my gridiron heroes (and it was played in the afternoon, like all NFL games were back then.) I watched it on my grandparents' luxurious 17-inch Zenith black and white television -- that was a good-sized screen at that time. I remember that one of the broadcasters was Red Grange, who even then seemed like ancient history to me.

This was on the Jet's first offensive series of the season. Rogers never even completed a pass.
