Hey rizz, nice victory against Arkansas last night. A very nice second half offensively, but I don’t think the defense forced a punt in the second half - on either team. Also, the Tigers are developing a habit of starting slowly in the first half of games. Not sure what to make of this team, but winning is better than losing. Just not certain how good this team actually is compared to the rest of the top 20 teams. There is much improvement needed to be a National Championship caliber contender.

That was a great game, looks like FSU is back. Noetsi must be happy. I hope so. Sometimes it seems he could use a bit of joy…

Wow! I haven't seen a catch like that since the days of stickum in the 70s! Amazing! Yesterday was not a great day for my teams. The Saints had a 17-0 lead over the Packers going to the fourth quarter, only for Carr to be taken out of the game with a shoulder injury. One of the reasons the Saints went after Carr was his durability throughout his career. Of course, the Saints miss a 46 yard field goal to win it, losing 18-17. Just like the Saints of old, before Sean Payton and before Jim Mora. Then, the Yankees were eliminated with a less than competitive showing. Bad Day at Black Rock.

That young man definitely has to have much longer fingers than young inger… What an advantage large hands or fingers can be in sports. Koufax had exceptionally long fingers…

Anyone notice that the Broncos gave up 70 points to Miami? Denver scored 20 but still lost by 50!

Why I am skeptical of LSU as a bonafide contender this season:
In the games against Florida State and Arkansas, LSU forced a combined total of 4 punts. That does not sound like a championship caliber defense.

Penn State destroys #24 Iowa 31 to 0. I haven't seen this kind of a defensive performance by Penn State in a long time. Penn St had 28 first downs to Iowa's 4 and outgained them 397 to 76. Two of the craziest stats: Penn State ran 97 plays to Iowa's 33 and the time of possession was 45:27 to 14:33. You just rarely see that kind of domination in big time college football. I was very surprised by that. Iowa often is a real pain for Penn State. Overall Penn State leads the series 18-14, but in the early 00s Iowa won five meetings in a row. Penn State won six straight between 2011-2019. They actually played as far back as 1930. And what about the PAC-12? For the first time in the history of the conference it has four teams in the Top Ten and six in the Top Twenty. And I believe this is the final season before it gets blown to bits. It's not like they weren't already raking in millions, but they can rake in even more millions by being dismembered. Or at least that's the case for USC and UCLA. No more chances for an old school Rose Bowl. How pathetically sad.

Florida looks terrible as they fall behind Kentucky 16-0 after one.

Florida looks terrible as they fall behind Kentucky 16-0 after one. That's surprising, but when Kentucky's offensive line plays well, they are tough. Their defense the last couple of years has been stout. I always thought Stoops was a good coach.

Ray Davis looks like the real deal for Kentucky. He has 11 touchdowns already this season.
