The sum of Kiermaier is definitely greater than the sum of his stats, but it does feel a little bit like the last centerfielder we brought in… But if he’s the CF until Dominguez returns and the is moved to LF or utility (depending upon the state of the OF at that time, or even flipped mid-Season I think it’s a great pick up. The man is a hustler and plays all out… I agree, except that I think he’s better than Bader, is left-handed, and he is used to the American League East. No back down in that guy. Certainly, he’s been more durable too? I hope.

Lady season he played in 129 games, tying the second most of his 11-year career. He played in 151, games about a decade ago. He’s a prime injury candidate to be honest…

If he’s the centerpiece of the off season, that will suck. But he’s a nice add in the roles we’re hoping he can play…

This evening marks one of several deadlines in the early part of the offseason: the deadline for protecting prospects from next month’s Rule 5 draft. Though the Rule 5 draft won’t take place until the Winter Meetings, today at 5pm CT is the deadline by which teams must add prospects they wish to protect from the draft to their 40-man rosters. The deadline typically sparks plenty of movement as teams look to clear space on their 40-man rosters for prospects in need of protections, and MLB Network’s Jon Morosi suggests that this year will be no different, reporting that trade talks are picking up all around baseball in advance of today’s deadline.

I can't believe Cashman would make a statement like that in public, even if he believes it's true. Maybe he thought it would make it easier for Stanton to give up his NTC, but a more likely impact is that it probably puts the Yankees out of the running for Yamamoto. Hard to imagine that Wolfe would steer him toward the Yankees after that. Cashman really does seem to be having a meltdown.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Nola was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and played baseball at LSU. He's only 30, and he's pretty much a lock to give you 150+ innings. I'd prefer Yamamoto, even if he is an unknown at this point - much more upside. And, I love the splitter as an out-pitch.
