At this time every year, according to rumors the Yankees show interest in everyone. I would imagine Montgomery would think about how Cashman didn't trust him, and pass. Although, I'm sure his teammates would welcome him back. I believe the clubhouse was not too happy when he was traded. |

The first job I went back to turned out to be a horrible mistake. A reminder of all the reasons I left in the first place. The second one went better for quite a few years but eventually ended poorly. Going back to the old house wasnāt my first choice, but I had my reasons. Once those were served I sold the place and would never go back. Contrary to what they say, you can go home againā¦ but itās seldom better than it was the first time around. Beware, Montyā¦ |

Since the job would have required living nearby and almost constant availability I replied āWhen you hand me the keys to my new house, built to my specifications.ā They got the message which was no more working on vague promises of the future. Youāve seen my performance, you've made your money. This time I get my reward up front or you find another sucker to work around the clock while you snoozeā¦ |
