What's the point of calling him up? Call him up and play him against lefties and some righties too. Brett Gardner has an OPS of .709. Take some of his playing time away. How quickly we forget the sight of Gardner slamming into the wall with the ball in his glove. Running over 100 into the LCF gap to haul in a potential triple...Ranging into foul ground in LF to nab a pop fly... Taking a nice 8 pitch at bat for a walk to start a game, getting the walk off hit, having a nice 16 for 50 stretch with the bat... There’s plenty of time to figure what to do for 2019 and what to do with Frazier. It’s the least of our worries right now..

I appreciate everything Gardy brings to the table!!! And even better that he's a left handed bat in this mostly RH lineup

I appreciate everything Gardy brings to the table!!! And even better that he's a left handed bat in this mostly RH lineup I know the day is coming soon when the Gardner era is over. Time waits for no one...I’d still like to see my less than secret fantasy of Gardner allowing himself to become OF #4 in NY for the final years of his career to be a legacy Yankee... Can an athlete have the kind of ego that will allow him to do that? We thought perhaps Jeter would be that sort of fellow, but he wasn’t able to yield SS, nor the top of the line up status he enjoyed... There might have been a supermodel out there that wouldn’t date a #9 hitter, even for a gift basket...couldn’t take the chance...

I believe I am more mystified at the roster moves, and then the use or non-use of those players than I have been in watching 80+ years of baseball.....I'm sure they must know what they are doing...it just looks like they don't....

They'll bring Hale back up to pitch the majority of Gray's next start.

Will he play, or just goof of in the dugout??? Neither. He will eat sunflower seeds. Wonder who started this fad of having food in your mouth all game, even while hitting?

Will he play, or just goof of in the dugout??? Sitting against a lefty, I'm not sure why they even brought him up.

the decisions must be being made at such a high level of intelligence that we mere fans just cannot understand how brilliant they are.........
