I wonder if Gray would have made it through waivers? He could probably help a team like the Brewers or D-Backs.

Bird seems to be picking it up with the bat. Hope they play him against leftys and no platoon with Walker

Boone thinks DiDi is a #3 hitter. Girardi batted Didi clean up in post season???? I think it was time for Girardi to go, I just Cashman hired a more experienced guy to replace him. Serving some time as a bench coach would have really helped Boone.

Serving some time as a bench coach would have really helped Boone. yeah...……..there are so many experienced guys who have managed with less than good teams, and made decisions that put their teams in the best position to win, that I was surprised at the Boone pick...…….I just feel that the Yankees are the Lamborghini, and the keys are with a 17 yr old...…… I thought the ex-RS manager, Farrell, was pretty good....Wockenfuss(sp) from the Mariners seemed good...Gardenhire was available before the Tigers signed him, and he always got the most out of poor Twins teams....I'm sure there were others available, but the Boone pick was a bit of a shocker...

Out of who the Yanks interviewed... I was rooting for BAM BAM but with the length of time it took to make decision... I couldn't fault them for hiring Boone

Clint Frazier fires back at Michael Kay, says he's doing everything he can to get back on the field
Clint Frazier fired back at Michael Kay Monday night, calling out the broadcaster for making light of the injured Yankee’s concussion symptoms.
Kay called into the YES Network Monday to weigh in on the Red Sox sweep of the Yankees, bemoaning the fact that role players like Shane Robinson and Luke Voit had to be in the lineup, and he ended up ripping Frazier for not being on the field.
“Shame on the Yankees for not having depth, but again, shame on guys like Jacoby Ellsbury for not getting healthy,” Kay said. “Shame on Clint Frazier for not getting healthy. You can’t make them get healthy, but if those guys are available, it’s completely different.”
Frazier was obviously listening and didn’t take kindly to the remarks. He also didn’t buy what Kay was selling after the fact, as the broadcaster took to Twitter to say he was being “facetious.”
“.@realmichaelkay facetious or not, I don’t appreciate what you said today. i’m doing everything I can to get healthy so I can play symptom free ... so steer clear of publicly calling me out for not when we haven’t even had one convo about my concussion this year. #ShameOnYouBro,” Frazier tweeted Monday night.

WTF? I suppose the best explanation if you wanted to be kind to Kay would be that he used a really poor choice of words but that’s not a smart thing for someone covering sports to say about a player trying to recover from concussion symptoms. It would be nice if Kay could man up and just apologize. Although that’s not exactly what people do in society these days when they’re wrong anymore, is it?

Kay did a dumb thing. He should apologize instead of the whole BS "I was being facetious" excuse.

Kay did a dumb thing. He should apologize instead of the whole BS "I was being facetious" excuse. Totally agree. It doesn’t pass the bullshit test. Also, does he know what facetious means? Because it doesn’t mean that. Be a man and apologize. I’m pretty sure Clint Frazier who hasn’t established himself as a major leaguer yet would love noting better than to be back on the field. He’d also probably like not to get CTE.

I'm surprised by these comments from Kay, usually he's better than that, good for Frazier for calling him out.
