Wow looks like Peraza got yoked. Maybe he spent some time training with Rortvedt. Although what is going on with his left shoulder? Best shape of his life alert! One picture relaxed, hands at his sides. The other he’s flexed…

Talkin’ Yanks via Twitter: We often put too much weight on offseason workouts: the truth is that there is much more than a player’s physique to indicate a potential breakout or a good season, generally speaking.
However, there is no question that both Juan Soto and Oswald Peraza have been putting in the work at the gym and look in tip-top shape. The former is looking for a life-changing payday after the 2024 season, and the latter is trying to improve his offensive output and secure his future with the organization.

Interesting. Even though it's been a bit unconventional, Judge has really excelled when hitting 2nd. He's never had protection like Soto before either.

It’s kind of the old 6 of one and a dozen of the other. I’d dwittch them by platoon hand. Each would get the pleasure of being enhanced by the other on a given day…Knowing Boone they each only start 144 games so they can get their proper nappy times, anyway…

I misread the post. Logically, it should be Soto 2nd and Judge 3rd, because as good as Judge's career OBA is, Soto's is better and not by a little, and you take advantage of Judge's power with Soto on base so much. In addition, righty closers might want to pitch around Soto and go after Judge, and if they do, there's an extra guy on base for Judge. If it's the other way around, righty closers challenge Judge and then pitch around Soto. I'd prefer to bat Soto 2nd, but if he's uncomfortable in that role, then make it Judge 2nd and Soto 3rd.

Just posted in another thread that there are multiple reports the Yankees may trade Peraza to the Marlins, in exchange for reliever Tanner Scott.

Peraza, though he has started slow offensively, has a lot of potential. To trade him for a reliever coming off a career year wouldn't be smart.

But this kind of trade has cashman written all over it

I wonder if Soto ever thought about working on his fielding ?

Best shape of his life alert! One picture relaxed, hands at his sides. The other he’s flexed… "AlexRod" fitness? Are we certain there no "unusual" supplements involved?
