New York Daily News | Gary Phillips: Ian Hamilton looks like one of the most important relievers in the Yankee bullpen, and he’s adjusting to a subtle new role in the early going. Three of his five appearances thus far have gone for two innings or more, with the Yankees perhaps slotting him into the multi-inning role they envisioned for Jonathan Loáisiga this year. While multi-inning outings are nothing new for Hamilton, who got four or more outs in half his appearances last year, he said it’s still been an adjustment going two innings so often. “Definitely working through it. A little different than last year. A little different time getting in the games, but definitely like it and definitely want to keep doing it,” Hamilton said.
