3B - Drew Henson, 2002-03 Former Michigan QB, rumor is The Boss (a Buckeye like myself) paid Henson to keep him off the gridiron. Somehow was rated a top-10 prospect by Baseball America in 2002 despite underwhelming minor league numbers. Went back to football after just 9 MLB at bats, but flopped there, too.

Clipper Maybe, but he never showed much of anything above AA ball with the bat hitting just .234 with a .286 OBP in 1339 plate appearances in AAA. I suspect he was bound to be a journeyman at best in MLB.

Scott Pose Bill Henry John Deering Bob MacDonald Henry Rodiguez Scott Pose. Was the Marlins CF and leadoff hitter in their debut game back in 1993. Lasted just 15 games with them unfortunately as he couldn't hit (.195).

Hal Brown Jim Brennman Todd Williams Those are seriously deep cuts Clipper. Knuckleballer Hal "Skinny" Brown is the only one of those guys I even heard of, mainly with Baltimore. I see Todd Williams got into 15 games with the 2001 Yankees -- I was living in NYC at the time and still don't remember him. Brett Jodie and Christian Parker from that team I remember, but not Todd Williams.

There was another college QB who briefly signed with the Yankees. He went on to play for the Bronco's, as a Colts fan I still refuse to utter his name. But hey...you got Chris Hinton. Old man Irsay was running the Team at the time and we were a mess. Elway's dad despised Colts HC Frank Kush, who had a reputation of being a red azz. Colts chose Kush over Elway. Ironically, Kush was fired 1 year later. I've always wondered if Elway would have really sat out a year rather than eventually signing. I suspect he wasn't bluffing but we'll never know.
