Remembering a cool moment when we decided to take our dearly departed mastiff, Brandy to a street festival in Salida, CO. We bought some street food and sat on a bench to eat outdoors while we people watched. I see a couple young boys with their father approaching us and the oldest boy says “Look, dad! It’s the dog from “Sandlot!” …🤓 That was a great, fun movie… Did the kid try to call Brandy "Hercules"? No. Oddly, his father shushed him and told him to stay away from her… |

How about the 1950's baseball movie "The Big Leaguer" with Edward G, Robinson as a Giants Minor League Manager in their spring training camp.
Also ABC-TV movie of the Week, which had a "Pete Gray story," the one arm outfielder, who played in the 1940's with the St. Louis Browns.

I signed onto this forum to read about things related to the Yankees, therefore I click on the "Yankees General Discussion" tab. Discussion threads like "Foodie Thread", "O/T The Music Thread", Misc. Bull$hit", "2023 Football (College & NFL)", "Our Heath & Condition", which are interesting so some people, have nothing to do with the Yankees. Couldn't the forum administration create a new tab for these type of discussions? Just a thought. Welcome to the board ill636.  I thought about it before but decided against it because I figured those threads would get much less traffic in a separate sub forum. They are in high prominence now because it’s the slow part of the offseason. When the season picks up those threads usually aren’t as active. I agree, over the years and the time of the year, off-topic threads wax and wane. Interestingly, some of our most delightful off topic discussions take place during bad game threads!  |

Below is things that have nothing to do with Yankees unless you are Boone/Cash. Imagine an 5 Foot Bat = now that is a heck of a Pet and probably woupd be a better DH than Stanton.  |

Well, the thread title does say "Things that have NOTHING to do with the Yankees"  We've never had a separate tab or forum for non-baseball discussion because of the small number of posters we had didn't warrant it. Once the season starts, if it becomes an issue Kay will consider it. |

Brandy overcame that with most people because she had a constant smile on her muzzle. She wasn’t happy when we first got there because of the crowds. Once we settled in on that sidewalk she got into people watching… |
