And the Mick would have had ACL surgery, and after some rehab, would have been as good as new. Think of all the pain he wouldn't have had to go through. Joe was selfish on the 1951 World Series outfield play at Yankee Stadium that got Mickey Mantle, hurt Yankees Catcher Yogi Berra said the was Mickey's Ball all the way. I loved Yogi but don't know how he figured that one. Joe was in center and Mickey in right. Mickey later said Joe D, was camped under the ball when he pulled up. Maybe the guy who should carry some of the blame was Casey, www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7EEkFBDSYA

The unwritten rule is that the CFer catches anything that he can get to, which I was taught in Little League. Unfair to blame a player for another player's injury on a play like that.

Why does anyone have to take blame? Sometimes things just happen. End of story. It’s not like DiMaggio was thinking; “If I step this way and move my right leg just so, he’ll step on that drainage ditch and”…

Does he have options? They need to send him down to AAA if he does.

For us older Yankees fans, watching Judge has brought us back to the 50's and 60's and seeing Mantle. Players like this don't come around too often, but when they do, every AB is a must see.

Reggie was that way, too. He wasn’t near as good, but he made himself into a show… Part of that show was bad fielding and causing trouble in the clubhouse because of what he said about Munson.
