Seriously ... Why even play the game if you are going to put that crap lineup ?? You already know Volpe, Wells and Peraza are coming north ... give thse 3 a day off, cut 1/3 of the team and send the other 1/3 to AA/AAA Who's benifitting from this ...the coaches? Peraza has been out with an injury, so he needs AB's. I'd like to see guys like Jones, Rice and Durbin hit off the Met's major league pitchers.

With 5, 6, and 7 hitters Oswald Peraza, Oswaldo Cabrera and Oscar Gonzalez, the Yankees are the first team in the history of MLB to not only have 3 players in the lineup whose 1st names begin with O, but also 3 players back t back with 1st names beginning with O. I actually don’t know if this is true, but I'm throwing it out there. Inger would know if this were true.

It also allows the Yankees showcase players whom they might want to trade.

ST is more about the pitchers getting reps and stretched out. the hitters go at a more leisurely pace. don't wanna risk injury in meaningless games. so yeah they fill out the lineups w minor leaguers and walk-ons who are thrilled to get a chance to show their stuff and impress. they'll be gone once the games get serious. til then don't watch.

I saw an article that said that Alonso was going to donate $10,000 for every homer he hits year to animal shelters or some such. He could have saved money by donating by the batting average point… 🤓

Spencer's swing. I posting these highlights for folks like me that didn't get to see this game. Great oppo swing there. I’m hoping we don’t see massive uppercutting develop so we can see more of a throwback approach of hitting what the pitcher is throwing instead of just wrapping around those pitches and topping them to one of the middle infielders or worse swinging over them for the K…

It also allows the Yankees showcase players whom they might want to trade. Yeah that's my point. Instead of wasting time with Jose Rojas, Josh VanMeter, Kevin Smith, etc... guys who we dont want to see anywhere in the Yankees system Why dont we get a better look at Rice, Vivas, Jones, Wells etc ... guys with a future on the Yankees

Everything has a process to it… And we’re not always privy to that process. An opposing team might have requested we play them because they’re interested in trading for them…
