Thanks inger! It was a fun game to go to! Judge's two outfield assists and Torres' HR were the difference! I broke my fast (for Ramadan) at the stadium. And my friend (who wasn't fasting) had the giant Brontosaurus Ribs from Mighty Quinns.

We were going nuts!

This made me stop and think about the conversations we used to have on Scout about Judge when he was making his way up through the minors. I remember getting scolded for having the audacity to even MENTION Dave Winfield's name in consideration as comp, even though I qualified the statement. As the conversation worked it's way back and forth I also came up with Jay Buhner as possible comp, and that one was accepted by several posters as being more realistic and likely. I admit that when he hit .179 in that first trial in MLB, I was concerned, but I reminded myself of the starts by Reggie Jackson and Mike Schmidt and tried to keep my belief. It wasn't easy. No matter, there was no need to believe. Judge makes his own believers...

Judge is not quite the athlete Winfield was but he's close and Judge has been way better in RF than some people thought he would be. Good comp overall.

Some of those guys look so good that you can start dreaming about a completely home-grown roster...
