Tyler Wade is having a good ST but might not make the roster in SD. Could this be his time in Pinstripes ? I was gonna bring his name up, but figured I'd leave it to you. I've been trying to get to a ST game to see him, Higgy, King & Wandy...haven't been able. Last chance Wednesday. BTW...saw an interview with Wade, who grew up not far from San Diego, in which he stated he was always a Yankee fan. I have a ton or respect for guys like Wade who stay in the game even when it is not always easy. |

He's also an excellent OF...went unnoticed that he saved Kluber's no-hitter with a tough play made to look easy in RF. I would think with cortez , schmidt and rodon all doing badly so far. , that the starting rotation is a bigger issue Lorenzen is still available and could work as the end of the rotation or in relief. |

If Schmidt, Rodon and Cortez bust ... getting another starting pitcher probably wont help much either ... They need at least one of those guys to come through or they are toast At this point all we can do is cross our fingers and see where we are at the all star break There is a decent chance that atleast 2 of those 3 will get hurt . And getting burnes would have helped tremendously because either schmidt or cortez would be in the bullpen If 2 starters get hurt and you send a 3rd one to the bullpen and trade for Burnes ... You still only have 3 starters Cole, Burns and Stroman. Plus Burnes has looked much worse than Schmidt, Rodon and Cortez so far ... he has a 12.71 ERA |

Burns has been an ace but he cant get anyone out right now ... maybe he's damaged goods ? Snell is Ace and doesnt cost the future, Monty is a Solid #2 and doesnt cost the future ... you could probably get them cheaper than Burns right now and lock them up for a couple/few years |

Clevinger is a starter. Both should be considered. IMO Lrenezen fits better. Snell and Montgomery seem to be out of the price range where the Yankees are shopping. Plus signing Snell triggers the comp issues. |

As long as the Yankees are good with his ability to field at any position his glove alone should get him the job. On a team that carries a DH who does not field a position you need to have a guy with that level of defensive versatility. There are lots of guys on this roster paid to hit. This slot is for someone with gloves in his locker. |
