Max, I know I'm not one of the posters that get's into perpetual arguments, there is no need for you to tell me that. I, like a few others, tried to make light of the situation and intervene in your rivalry, that was my only involvement. Other than that, I would appreciate if you would stop dragging my name into it. And please, no need to respond, that is not what I am looking for.

Aah, the beautiful aftermath of war. Let the rotting corpse lie on the battlefields. That dude had a talent to make anyone posting with him look bad…

Long gone are the days when a team only needed 12 or 14 pitchers in a season. Warren, Gil and lots of other names are going to show up on scorecards by the end of the year. I think the Yankees used more than 20 guys who got more than 20 innings each last year plus a dozen other gents who had shorter workloads. You need guys with minor league otpions to fill out the roster. I think Weaver is best used out of the bullpen. If a signing or trade isn't made I would like to see either the Gil-man, Beeter, or Warren in the Yankees starting rotation. I am an old school guy who still thinks the bullpen is a good place for youngsters to learn. I am fine with using Weaver as 4 or 4 inning starter and then bringing in one of the younger arms. I do think that given the injuries and histtory of the staff, at least one more arm is needed. Maybe that will come from someone whi is released at the end of ST.

More likely we’re going to see that the best place for Weaver would be on another team. I don’t see why the Yankees seem to love him. What am I missing?…

I, like a few others, tried to make light of the situation and intervene in your rivalry, that was my only involvement. Other than that, I would appreciate if you would stop dragging my name into it. And please, no need to respond, that is not what I am looking for. You don't get into perpetual arguments? I'm sorry, but how many times did you call a certain poster "dummy"? Do me a favor and don't play innocent.
Sorry you feel that way, but I didn't drag your name into anything. Explain to me... How is making 2 posts that in my opinion tried to make me look bad trying to make light of the situation?
There's not a nice way to say it. If you don't want your name mentioned then take my advice from yesterday and mind your own business unless you're replying to me about what's being discussed. You put yourself in the middle, not me. I also mentioned your name in another post when I replied to you so to avoid any misunderstanding. By doing so I thought that I was being courteous and respectful, but whatever.

Yes, Giancarlo would say ridiculous stuff with an aim to engage me in a fight. For sure I was itching to respond. As much as he tries, I just ignore him. I wish I could have shown the restraint you did Lauren, but have to admit I got pulled in once and after rereading my posts felt a bit foolish. Kinda like Lou Pinella must have felt after one of his base throwing episodes. I know that feeling 55. I do apologize if any of my posts here or on YES annoyed you or anyone else. You did in a nice way try to let me know to ignore certain posts. I tried, but on the political forum I was reading some things that in my opinion were so bazaar that I'm not sure if those that posted those things believed it themselves. Eventually I did ignore most of those posts.
On the Yankees forum, I wasn't getting upset, but I did get annoyed that one trade proposal that I didn't agree with in 2020 kept being brought up as late as about the last week before the YES board shutdown. Also, my posts were for whatever reason kept getting taken out of context. One example would be that I said if Judge wasn't going to re-sign and if Cashman was going to trade him to the Angels, Marsh should be included in any trade. That somehow got translated into I want Judge traded straight up for Marsh. I think Marsh can be a good player, but trading Judge straight up for him? Come on. But that kept being brought up over and over again. The same happened to Bob, when it came to the WSox moving one of their players to the OF. While Bob mentioned Yount, he kept getting accused of comparing that WSox player to Yount, which Bob didn't do. Stuff like that after awhile becomes annoying. Most here from YES know my saying, with me, people get what they give, I treat people the way they treat me.

If they were available I would like to see the Yankees trade for Bailey Ober or Logan Gilbert. But you're right Pat, maybe there is a chance that someone will get released at the end of Spring Training. That wouldn't cost the Yankees much, so maybe that's the way the Yankees will go.

For the political thread that was shut down here, I was probably the last poster wanting to keep it alive; however, eventually I came to realize that it just generated too much vitriol and bad feelings among multiple posters. It became really negative, with some posters not responding to the post itself, just retreating to their own tribal beliefs and discounting others' views by "labeling" them, which essentially was an act of dismissiveness. We lost a couple really good posters who have not returned, despite our best efforts of encouragement and even though the more emotionally ugly and tribal posters are no longer here. I really do not miss it, though there are some times when I want to get others' opinions on topics, but we have private messaging for those purposes. In the end, it was definitely the best decision to the overall atmosphere and posting environment.
