Ok, time to weigh in. Three simple questions. 1) How many games will the Yankee win this year? 2) Will they win the division? 3) Will they make the playoffs. 89, N, Y
With a full season of Cole pitching I would have said 100 wins. But without Cole to start the season, I think they will win 92 games, and win their division by 1 game. Max, I must say that I love your optomism. So far, you are the only one to predict a Division win. Hope to heck you are correct.

Much of that was based on my belief that we could have won 95-100 last year with better health. Then, Cole happened. DJLM happened. We don’t know what’s really up with Rizzo. Judge has a short-term boo-boo. Who knows what the health of this team will be like? If all goes right in NY and Baltimore regresses as much as last year’s amazing 30-17 record in 1-run games suggests they might… That’s what the season is for? Fingers crossed 🤞…

Honestly, I don't know if it's optimism or wishful thinking.
My optimism/wishful thinking only goes so far. That's why I included that they would win their division by only 1 game.

Which game do you think it will be? 🤓…

I'd be more optimistic with a full season of Cole, but he's such a huge loss. Maybe even more so than losing Judge.

I have no idea. Maybe the Yankees win a one game playoff like in 1978, but in 2024 they play the Orioles.

I think Baltimore is gonna be the team to beat in that division for years to come. Then again, I thought ChiSox would dominate the Central after the '21 season.

If Cole is out for 2 months. Maybe that's about 10 starts more or less that he misses? My hope is that Rodon pitches like he did for the WSox and Giants, and that Gil will pitch to his potential.

The Orioles remind me of the Astros when the Astros promoted many of their top prospects which eventually made them one of MLB top teams. In a few years there might be another Orioles vs Reds world series, like in 1970.

Ugh, that's right, the Orioles have Holliday too.

I predict 4 x orbital fractures. 3 x broken feet (that arent actually broken), 4 x UCL injuries that we will require surgery 2-3 months after rest, 2 x Lats, 2 abdominal, 3 obliques, and a pair of concussions ... everyone will have shoulder issues at some point
