Am I still the only one on this thread that predicted that the Yankees would win their division? If so, and if the Yankees win their division. Do I win a trophy? I'm asking so that I know whether or not to write a speech. Max, I'm now urging you to predict a WS win! Hi 55,
Well, as you know the Yankees didn't win their division yet. They still have 3 games vs the Orioles. It would be nice if the Yankees win more games than the 94 games that I predicted they would win. 94 wins would mean the Yankees would go 5-4 the rest of the season.

Waiting 60-80 months for a trophy? If that's the case. Trophies? I don't want any trophies. I don't need any stinkin trophies. I have nothing against atlases. But an atlas as a prize? 🤢 I don't want to sound ungrateful. But, talk about giving ice away in the winter.

Yep, with the roller coaster ride we've been on this season there is no sense to counting chickens

It's tough to sweep series, even against the bad teams but I fully expect the Yankees to win at least 2 of 3 from a very bad A's Team.

If there ever was a plan to play in a minor league park in Nevada that feel though last time I heard.

Well, one thing is certain...they don't play in a minor league park now.

Ok, time to weigh in. Three simple questions. 1) How many games will the Yankee win this year? 2) Will they win the division? 3) Will they make the playoffs. 89, N, Y
With a full season of Cole pitching I would have said 100 wins. But without Cole to start the season, I think they will win 92 games, and win their division by 1 game. max, you & i more or less on the same page. i had 98-100 before cole injury and 92-94 after. pessimism about the team seems to be the rule here.

I'm asking so that I know whether or not to write a speech. Max, I'm now urging you to predict a WS win! Game 7, Dodger Stadium. Yankees trailing 3-0 in the bottom top of the 9th with 2 outs. Judge is at the plate. The Dodgers bring in Ohtani in from RF to pitch to Judge. Ohtani was the emergency starting RFer because both Teoscar Hernández and Kevin Kiermaier were injured in Game 6.
Ohtani throws a fastball to Judge, Judge hits the first pitch to the same area where Judge hurt his foot last season but the ball goes over the RF fence for a Grand Slam! Yankees win take the lead 4-3. Jazz grounds out to end the inning.
Bottom of the 9th. Weaver loads the bases, with no one out. Boone brings in Holmes. Holmes strikes out the side with 9 pitches. The Yankees are the 2024 World Series Champions! Both Judge and Soto are named World Series MVPs!
How's that for an ending?
Oops! Edited: Because the Yankees can't bat in the bottom of the 9th inning in Dodger Stadium.
