Not a good night for Judge... Bases loaded, grounds into a DP 2nd and 3rd, grounds out softly to SS... Had two chances to collect major RBIs... Clearly not 100% yet after his spring injury and lack of at bats. |

Pena up. Falls behind 0-2, then takes two straight well outside, 2-2.
Swings over a cutter down and in for a K, as Diaz takes 2nd on the wild pitch. With only one out, Pena can't try for first.

Yankees have a 6-1 lead? How was it accomplished??? Anthony Rizzo singled (line drive to CF). Giancarlo Stanton struck out swinging. Alex Verdugo walked. Anthony Rizzo advanced to 2nd. Anthony Volpe reached on fielder's choice and error (ground ball to SS). Anthony Rizzo advanced to score. Alex Verdugo advanced to 3rd. Wells safety squeeze bunt was thrown away by the pitcher for a run and the runners moved up to 2nd and 3rd. Cabrera singled up the middle for two more runs to make it 6-1 Jones batting for the injured Torres stuck out. Soto doubled Cabrera to 3rd. Judge grounded out to end the inning. Opportunities knocking as Yankees cashed in...fantastic. |

Ferguson at 17 pitches for his 1 1/3 innings. Not likely to start tEdithe 9th, I think. Wonder who gets to start it with a 5 run lead against Altuve, Alvarez, Tucker & Co.
EDIT: Would Boone risk Beeter's debut here, or is he saving him in case either Stroman or Schmidt get knocked out early.
Otherwise, I would guess it's Hamilton.
