They sure do come up with some dubious stats these days. Next we'll hear somthing like first player to walk 4 times, score 2 runs, consume an entire package of sunflower seeds and 8 pieces of chewing gum. I don't dismiss most of the sabermetric stats, but it can get ridiculous and often lead to erroneous conclusions...IMO. Especially defensive metrics. |
