1-2 FB misses inside to Judge, 2-2. Curve bounced, count is full,.. Chases the sinker inside, shatters the bat, which head near Pena as he fields and throws Judge out to end the inning. Well, that "rally" went nowhere fast. Even worse, 6 batters until they get back to the top of the order.
Bottom 5, 2-1 Astros. 11 pitch inning for Martinez.
Dubon, Caratini and Altuve for the Astros.

In 1990, the Yankees scored 10 runs against the Twins with none earned. The Twins committed 5 errors, while the Yankees played errorless ball (even with Steve Sax at second base).
The winning pitcher in that game: Greg "Life is a" Cadaret. The losing pitcher with no defensive support was Rick Aguilera.

Diaz-Abreu-Pena for the Astros... Diaz chases a cutter outside Lays off an even worse cutter, 1-1 3rd cutter outside, not close, not chased, 2-1 Sinker low, 3-1 Cutter outside, not close, ball 4. Leadoff BB. ruh-roh. =================== I should point out that none of the three runs tonight are earned because of the errors by Cabrera and Pena. In the land of weird stats, I wonder how many MLB games have ended with no earned runs scored. I don’t have a complete answer although I have information that between 2001 and 2011 there were 44 such games in MLB. Pretty low percentage of all games…

Rays won, 5-1, to get to 2-1. The Jays fall to 1-2.

Judge breaks his bat. Go back to the Ash, gentlemen. It worked for Henry Aaron.

0-1 splitter, thigh high in the middle, but Dubon taps it to Stroman for the first out.
Caratini lines a bad cutter near middle middle on the 1st pitch to center for a 1 out hit.
And now comes the crisis, 3rd time through for Altuve, Alvarez and Tucker, and Stroman might tire quickly.

The company at my mom’s house is forcing me to switch to NCAA basketball. 🙄. Back to the dots on the phone for me.

Judge breaks his bat. Go back to the Ash, gentlemen. It worked for Henry Aaron. Louisville Slugger was the only brand I'd use when I played in a wood bat league. The Japanese bats are cheaper, but they're garbage.

0-1 on Altuve Bunts a short liner down 3rd that drops, rolls, rolls, Cabrera has no play and waits to see if it goes foul, but it hits the bag for a hit. 1st and 2nd, 1 out.
And the crisis reaches Def-Con 2.

Nothing Cabrera could do to defend that bunt.

Jams Alavarez with a 1-0 cutter in, gets the grounder to Rizzo, they get the force at 2nd, but the throw by Cabrera is way wide of 1st, gets away, Stroman recovers and fires home into the dugout, Caratini scores, and Alvarez is given two bases on the throw out of play. 3-1 Astros, man on 3rd, 2 down for Tucker.
