I understand the talk about Loiasiga being a 2 inning pitcher this year but he doesn't have it today, BP is short, does Boone run him out their for 1 more? If the pen is short, I would. Starts the inning clean. His sinker got better as he went along last inning, and 11 pitches. |

Slider just missses down and in.
Slider barely low, maybe, Soto gets the Soto call 2-1
Hanging slider up in the zone, Soto misses and pops to McCormick in left, inning over.
Bottom 7, 3-3. The really bad news there is that Soto might not get another at bat today, if the back end of the Astros staff does its job.

Meyers hasn't faced Loaisiga. Altuve is 1-4 with a solo HR and 2 K's. Alvarez is 0-1 with a K.

Sinker up and away, and Singleton goes with it to the 3rd base spot, but Berti is play toward short, and it's another hit, 1st and 2nd two down for McCormick. Exit velos of Loaisiga so far, 98, 98, 98. They're finding holes, but they aren't cheapies, he's getting scalded. Game is getting dicey with big guns coming up again. |

Loaisiga still knocking off the rust. He didn't get much game time in spring training and very little playing time last season.
