In the past, Boone would have rolled out a punt lineup out there after already winning the series. Glad that's not the case today.

Keep riding the hot hands. I think this is also just a deeper lineup then we are used to ...especially with the way Cabrera is hitting It would be insane to bench Cabrera or Vlpe right now ... If they sat Gleyber who was hit in the hand by a pitch for Berti ... I wouldnt be upset but I would rather see Gleyber get on track If they sat Stanton for Berti or Trevino for Wells I wouldnt be upset ... but I'm fine not doing that Now if they played Grisham for Judge and Jones for Gleyber ... I'd have a problem with that I've been thoroughly unimpressed with Grisham's ABs so far going back to Spring training |

would like to see berti get in there but as long as they keep throwing RH'ers and cabrera continues to hit, berti will probably have to wait his turn. as i said in another thread, good to see boone going w the hot hand as opposed to some pre-ordained plan.

Same thing I noticed, as well as not jumbling hitters each game as a whim. Baseball players are so habitual, it’s refreshing to see consistency in the lineup day to day. Whoops, I spoke too soon. Volpe scratched due to a stomach illness. |

Well, he does have Stanton back in there batting 5th against a righty. That might not be a "punt", but it is somewhat like running the ball on 3rd and long. Judge is back in center, of course. |
