Bob Nightengale: Arizona Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo says his ticket requests has ‘gone through the roof’ with the Yankees in town. ‘Everyone wants to see Judge, Soto, Stanton.’ Well, Soto and Judge, anyway.

I have to be at work by 11 and working overnight on a project so I'll be able to watch the entire game.

With the cold wet weather in the East, it's been a blessing for the Yankees to open in dry weather on the road while the Mets shiver and lose in this dismal atmosphere. Not a fan of indoor baseball, but grateful for it tonight. Unseasonably cloudy, drizzly, chilly (60)

dbacks have been an offensive juggernaut so far this w an OPS of .954. hopefully gil can slow them down. have always liked his stuff. if can command it, we have a winner.
good to see cabrera continue to get starts. looks like boone's going w a L/R platoon for now. volpe back after the "revenge". playing really well so far. has seen 70 pitches in the 3 games he's played w only 2 swing and misses - a huge improvement over last season.

Not in my wildest dreams Yankees would sweep Astros. No matter what happens in Arizona, Yankees will come home playing better than .500 baseball. Yep. If you had said the Yanks would open the season on the road against Houston and Arizona and come out even 4-3, I would have taken that anytime. Me too. Was hoping they'd go 5-5 in their tough first 10 games.

The baseball gods have been smiling down upon us so far this season. I'll say. How much fun has this been so far? Soto has been beyond my comprehension. Star players are supposed to take awhile to adjust to playing for the Yankees. His slow adjustment with the Padres was apparently something he didn’t want to repeat. Thanks Padres! Thanks for waking him up for us!!…

The bullpen (especially Holmes) must spent. Lets hope Gil doesn't provide a truncated start. Yanks have Weaver on two days rest, just 16 pitches, plus Cousins who just got called up for long relief if Gil gets knocked out early, or walks the ballpark and leaves with too many pitches in 2-3-4 innings.

True, but it came against the Rockies, who must have the worst rotation in MLB, even when not in Coors. One fantasy expert said about their rotation: "I can't think of a rotation where there was not one starter worth drafting at any point in a draft. Until now."
