Larry Vanover stinks behind the plate and at third - just hosed Rizzo from being on first base with a walk. Coming up my dislikes umps list with a bullet… Hard to top Angel Hernandez and Laz Diaz for bad K zone calls. Gonzalez still out there Change on the corner, 0-1 Sinker down and in, 1-1 Sinker outside, 2-1 Change outside middle, topped to 3rd, Cabrera grabs the high hop low, tries to set, but fires low to first, the ball gets away from Rizzo and goes into the wide foul area off 1st and Marte gets all the way to 3rd on E-5. |

Tough play for Rizzo off the turf, but he usually makes that play. Unfamiliar with Arizona's infield bounces.

Sinker gets a small piece of the top of the zone, not called. about the same piece of a strike as the one called against Volpe,
1st and 3rd, nobody out. Gurriel due in, and Cousins will replace Gonzalez.

It gets so old talking about it. Hal won't eat the contract but Stanton is just not a fit for this team. They need the DH to rotate the big guns. At least they moved him down and gave him some time off.

Cousins was a pretty highly regarded relief prospect at one point. FB at 95 and slider about 82, in a 45-55 mix last year.
Slider in a bad spot just below and inside of middle, popped to Rizzo, one down. Got away with that one.

Takes a slider well outside
Slider on the outside corner, barely, 1-1
FB up and in at 96, but not up and in enough, belted out to left, 3 run HR makes it 6-0 D'backs, and where's Don Meredith when you need him?
