First loss. First time shut out. Had to get them both over with at some point. See you guys tomorrow at 1:30 MDST, because Colorado DOES do Daylight Savings Time… I'll be working. Keep the light on for me, and I'll just have a frozen burrito when I get home. If you can get online and get to the thread, I'll do my best to keep you updated. |

watched the 1st 6 innings or so. pretty much a carbon copy of nestor's 1st game. allowed early runs, seemed to settle and got stronger as the game went along but this time the offense showed nothing. obviously gallen had a lot to do w it. for the most part hit his spots and kept the big yankee bats off-balance.
the bullpen hiccuped. put the game out of reach but when you get 3 hits not a biggie. good news is our bigger BP arms got some needed rest plus there's an off-day tomorrow.
yeah the stanton problem. looked terrible. averaging a K every other AB is unacceptable. boone gave him a vote of confidence after the game but what else is he gonna say. think they'll give him a couple more weeks of rope. he is a slow starter. i'm still hanging onto a very slim thread of hope. swallowing $118 mil is a pretty big swallow.
