Carrosa tries to bunt for a hit, bunts to hard to Rizzo, he comes home they get Suarez in a rundown and tagged out, then Cabrera wheels and fires behind the rookie Barrosa at 1st and they nail him by a hair.
Rookie mistake: when a pitch can't find his release and is getting tattooed, you don't help him out by trying to bunt for a hit.
Nestor gets out of it, but it's his 2nd straight 3 run 1st inning.
Top 2, 3-0 D'backs. Stanton, Verdugo and Volpe for the Yanks.

FB misses inside 2-3 inches, crowed groans for no reason, 3-2

Change misses just inside at the knees, 2-0. Two good takes so far.
Change tails back and clips the low inside corner, but Gallen doesn't get the call. Cabrera got a break on that one.
FB outer half, get it over FB, 3-1
FB up and away, he goes with it, hits it hard to the left of Perdomo, who dives but can't get it. Volpe stops at 2nd with 2 down. Gurriel was right on it.

Pulls off a slider near the outside corner, quickly behind 0-2
Cutter outside, 1-2
Swings over a knuckle curve down and in out of the zone, K.
Yanks get two hits and fail to cash in, 3-0 D'backs going bottom 2.
Gallen threw 18 pitches in the first, 24 in the 2nd, 42 total so far.
Nestor needed 24 and the rookie helping him out to get through the 1st.
McCarthy, Perdomo and Marte for the D'backs in the 2nd.
